Over thirteen years ago I entered the field of social work and psychology with passion and enthusiasm to help others with health, wellness, and overall wellbeing. My outgoing and active lifestyle naturally led to becoming a plant-based advocate, recently taking more nutrition training to become a coach/educator; and two years ago I found myself inspired to train for my first half Ironman (Boulder 2013) coupled with signing up for a full Ironman (AZ Ironman Nov 2014).
Upon learning more about hydration, nutrition, and more with training, I discovered how vital health/wellness is invaluable to many workouts. Becoming a plant-power athlete advocate/coach/educator was a fairly natural progression as I’m comfortable and energetic working in larger social settings to create positive experiences – thanks to my recent training as a yoga instructor and professional administrative tasks as a team leader of a therapeutic clinic.
I feel especially suited for the Plant-Based Practioner pathway. I anticipate this role as a valuable opportunity to share my experiences with others. Collaborating with like-minded individuals in the community complements my personal and career aspirations.
My strong training and work experiences, enthusiasm, work ethic, and dedication will make me a positive addition to the plant-based community that is truly tremendous in Colorado Springs, CO. Thank you for any consideration in advance as I look forward to sharing more thoughts and ideas in the future.
